No, it’s not (necessarily) a climate change thing. In fact, if we keep up what we do right now, this ocean along the Norwegian coast has a better chance of freezing in the future.
Why? Because the ocean currents change with the climate. Right now, we get rather warm Carribbean water flowing northwards along the coast. At one point, we’ll loose that current, I believe.
Models can be wrong, of course, but I think that is the most likely scenario. Weird, but likely.
