Just to follow up on that thing from two weeks ago: Scientists are normal people. Like you and me – well, like you, you know, Honestly.

The other day, an electron, a proton, and a neutron walked into a bar —

No, stop, this isn’t about quantum physics and horrible puns. It’s about earthquakes generated by Lionel Messi scoring a goal.

The conclusion, though? We can measure, we can map, we can try to look for long-time signatures and short-term tell tales to make earthquake prediction more and more accurate.

Scientists are normal people. Some of us don’t, but by far the most of us do want to help by means of what we know.
