Where is this?

I won’t tell you the “where” (just look up the hashtags down there!), but I can tell you the “what”.

These are antennas sending out electromagnetic waves. These waves get scattered at fluctuations in electrification in the upper atmosphere. “Scattered” simply means that some electromagnetic waves find their way back to where they started. For my Ph.D., I tried predicting the character of those returning waves with the help of a supercomputer…

You know, when I read that, I get goose bumps. Did I really do that!?
