It is never really simple to explain to non-Northerners just how fast things change up here during spring. By the time you see this image, there is probably not a single ice crystal left anywhere outside of super-shadowy areas. See, the sun does not rise high in the North, but it is persisent.

It is simply there, tugging away at the cold, day and night, as it were. 🙂
